AWS contributes to Windows Azure eBook

Wednesday, 23 June 2010 @ 10:00

In April 2010 Eric Nelson, Developer Evangelist at Microsoft UK contacted AWS looking for Azure savvy Developers to help him write an eBook on the Windows Azure Platform.  Richard Prodger, Rob Blackwell, Steve Towler and Saksham Gautam from AWS have all been heavily involved with the Windows Azure Platform since its release and were more than happy to offer their knowledge and experiences to Eric to write the eBook.

Developers were asked by Eric to explore the possibilities opened up by the Windows Azure Platform for Cloud Computing. The book pulls together great articles from many developers who have been active with the Windows Azure Platform to hopefully help others become successful.

There are twenty articles in this first volume covering everything from getting started to implementing best practices for elastic applications.

Eric commented “It has been a collaborative effort and whilst I get credited with being the author, I can assure you that the real stars are the 15 authors who actually wrote the articles. Well done to all of them! You can check out their mug shots at the end of the book, my favorite being Grace – you will immediately understand why once you have the book. Also, a thanks to my colleague Andrew for the smashing cover art”

The eBook was launched on 23rd June 2010 and has been a great success already!

Download the eBook for FREE and please Give Feedback as Eric hopes to deliver a Volume Two later in 2010.
